Dear Visitor

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of St John’s Church of England Primary School. I want to thank Mr Turvey for his contribution and service to the school. The devotion it takes to lead a school as effectively as he has done so for the past 8 years is commendable and I am sure you will all join me in wishing Mr Turvey all the best in his future endeavours. Rest assured, we have worked closely over the last term to ensure there is a smooth transition.

The process to become your new Headteacher was incredibly rigorous, I would like to thank the commitment and rigour of the governing body in ensuring that the process was worthy of the position. Ultimately, I am excited to get started and to work closely with Mark Bowring and the rest of the Governing body on strategic plans in the near future.

When I saw the vacancy at St John’s, it was a role that excited me tremendously. We have an incredible school site, capable and devoted staff and of course, a set of students who want to learn and are achieving well. I want to build on the strong foundations to truly nurture the potential in everyone both holistically and academically. I am excited to get started and build upon the successes that St John’s already has.

I am looking forward to meeting you all as I have heard many wonderful things about this community. Please come and introduce yourself when you see me at the gate and I look forward to meeting you all in person.
